JOB DESCRIPTION

• Performing regular and periodic preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Perform inspection, testing and repair of circuit boards using approved testing procedures and schematics.
• Repairs populated circuit boards when as needed.
• Read, follow and execute PCB test, verification, repair and release procedures.
• Support Production department in repair and related engineering works.
• Ensure that manufacturing receives efficient and effective maintenance coverage and minimum downtime by providing assistance and maintenance support.
• Ensure that safety and housekeeping instructions and plant wide programs are adhered.
• Troubleshoot and repair any type of machinery in the plant.
• Support Production department in repair and related engineering works.
• To assist Supervisor from time to time routine maintenance, monitoring and exercising repairing job.
• Other duties as and when assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Candidate must possess at least Primary/Secondary School/SPM/"O" Level, Higher Secondary/STPM/"A" Level/Pre-U, Professional Certificate in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
• At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field. (Exposure in semiconductor or related industry will be an added advantage)
• Able to work 12 hours rotating shift.
• Must have hands on experience in PCB repair and rework.
• The ability to read electronic schematics, to interpret basic circuit drawing and perform FA (Failure Analysis) accordingly.
• Proven good hands on soldering skills (especially on SMD devices) using various types of soldering stations / kits (Soldering skills equivalent to IPC- A610 and IPCJSTD).
• The ability/skill to troubleshoot PCB’s to component level using various test equipment (i.e. DMM)
• Ability to set up, understand and troubleshoot com port connections and other basic computer issues as needed.
• ESD: Knowledge of proper PCB board /component handling and ESD prevention practices (Basic ESD theory/principles).
